Although we are only a small complex Oham lakes boasts the best days fishing in Lincolnshire.Oham Lakes fishery is owned by the Higham family and they make every angler welcome at their lakes. The fishery sits on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds just three miles from the spectacular beaches of the East Coast. We have three lakes offering something for everyone from beginner to the expert. Our fish will give you the sport you would expect from a commercial fishery, and you never know what you will find on your hook as the float disappears beneath the surface of the green water. Oham is a mixed fishery and every lake has a large head of silver fish: roach to 2.2lb, rudd, tench, bream, barbel, chub, perch and ruffe. In each lake there is also a large head of mirror, common, leather and grass carp. They range from 1lb in the Puddle to 30lb in Badger.Facilities are first class with ample car parking, flat banks, gravelled paths, large purpose built swims, lakeside café, on-site tackle shop and clean toilets with disabled access. The lakes are well designed with banks to shield you from even the worst prevailing easterly winds. Most pegs have a feature to fish to, but beware of the reed beds. Our fish are quick to swim straight into them.We can offer every angler a complete angling experience here at Oham beginning with breakfast in the morning. The tackle shop is large with most brand names in stock and every bait that you could possibly need for fishing here. We cater for families who want to sit and fish together. Some of our pegs are large enough to cater for this. Corporate days and lessons can also be booked here.
............................................................................................. On arrival at our fishery you will pass the tackle shop and café with the club house on the left. The car park and Mallard lake is to the right of you. This lake is about 4ft deep with mixed fish and carp to about 10lb. There are also some awesome barbel lurking on the far side.Through gates you will see Badger Lake. This one is not so easy with sunken islands and ledges and two islands. There are also some large reed beds for the fish to be tempted from. You will need some stronger tackle in this lake because the carp are touching 30lb (these are normally the ones that got away).Hiding around the corner and past the next car park is our Puddle, which is about 3ft. deep the water sits around acircular island. There are no pegs on this pond but the grass banks form natural flat areas. This is perfect for beginners and anyone who just wants to catch a bag full of small fish. The tiny mirrors and commons are perfect. This water also holds our Golden tench. You will also find our small Camping and Caravan Cub site around the Puddle with electric hook-ups to most pitches. We also have a static caravan for hire.
