Mallory MainMallory Park Fisheries is a members only club that offers 12 lakes on two locations,
often described as the jewel in the Leicestershire countryside.
The four lakes that are in and around the Mallory Park race circuit are complemented by a further eight lakes at the Glebe, a 36 acre showcase site located just a couple of miles away. The Glebe is a haven for wildlife and its fishing has been described as the best in England.
There are no day tickets, and we provide a secure and peaceful environment for you to see Mallory Carp 1which of our many species of fish you can catch. The club and its members are conservation minded with hundreds of species of fauna and flora. We deliberately have no plans for a café or tackle shop as this would spoil the peace and tranquillity that we offer. We have an excellent match group and events for members only are staged every week.
With 12 lakes available there is never a problem of being crowded and whether you prefer big fish or lots of fish, we have waters that will keep you smiling all day. All members have a passport style permit; special car park stickers and a key that ensures only members are on site.

The Lakes:
Mallory the finOne of the best competition pools in the country and an ideal pleasure venue Pool One offers mixed species with bream averaging 1 lb, barbel to 6 lb, and lots of carp to 7 lb, fish bigger than this being removed. Nets to 40 lb of barbel and skimmer are common, plus good catches of crucians and brown goldfish.
The fish for Pool Two were all hand picked as great examples of their species – whatever you catch will be perfectly formed. Ghost carp have recently been added and there are superb crucians and rudd with fishing very straightforward on pole or waggler.
Pool Three is nicknamed ‘Uglies’ as it contains fish that weren’t deemed pretty enough for Pool Two. Uglies is famous for big weights and contains mainly carp to double-figures with the odd 20-pounder. Pools Four and Five have had stocks recently boosted, Four holding skimmers, bream ands carp, Pool Five mainly carp to 18 lb. Also restocked over the winter Pool Six has excellent mixed fishing with silver fish and carp to 8 lb, Pool Seven containing mostly carp but IMG_2834quality skimmers. The newest pool, Pool Eight is starting to mature and although one of the stock ponds we wallow fishing for the several thousand small carp plus a few larger monsters lurking amongst them. Foundation Lake is the main match lake at Mallory and is a fabulous roach water with nets to 50 lb. The match record haul is over 180 lb, with good stocks of roach and skimmers plus single-figure carp. Fishing close with pellet, corn or meat is all that is required.
The Big Lake is in the centre of Mallory Park circuit and holds massive stocks of carp up to 20 lb with hundreds of doubles. There’s a good chance of 100 lb nets wherever you fish.
Lastly, the smallest of the Mallory venues are the Lakes in the Trees, two small venues that are never crowded and offer peaceful, secluded sport. The top pool holds carp up to about 20 lb as well as dozens of low and mid-doubles with sweetcorn, bread and pellets the most effective baits

FISHERY RULES:

Our club rules serve to protect our fish and environment and to ensure the safety of our members and guests. They also make for traditional styles of fishing, which prevents one single style or method dominating our competitions. We don't ask anything unreasonable of you and expect all visitors to our fishery, whether or not they are members, to abide by these rules. Stroke pullers will not be tolerated and we expect all anglers to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. Please take time to read through all the rules before you visit us.
Rules common to our two sites:
A.1 All method fishing, including floating methods, is banned. All hook baits must be put on
by hand. The use of compression tubes, and similar devices, is banned.
A.2 Ghost nets and harsh nylon nets are banned. Only soft fish-friendly nets are allowed.
Please note that nets that have 'carp fishery approved' or 'legal' on them might not be soft fish-friendly nets. Please look on the Angling Foundation website (http://www.anglingfoundation.com) for more information. Your nets do not have to have Angling Foundation labels but they must be soft fish-friendly nets.
A.3 Keepnets are only allowed in official matches.
A.4 In official matches at least two keepnets are required; one for carp under 2lb and all silver fish, and one only for carp over 2lb. The net limit is strictly 100lbs.
