MainSet in a stunning backdrop enjoying views over the Snowdonia Mountains Llyn-y-Gors is a six lake complex offering everything from net busting match and pleasure hauls to specimen carp and catfish. Owned by Kevin and Karen Coe Llyn-y-Gors has been extensively developed since 2004. Catering for holiday anglers as well as day ticket visitors there are three well appointed cottages and one chalet on site. All are centrally heated, cosy and feature full kitchens with ovens and microwaves, lounges with colour TVs, videos, DVD and freeview plus dining areas, separate bedrooms and bathrooms. They make the perfect retreat after a day’s fishing and a comfortable base for families wishing to mix sight seeing in Anglesey and main land Wales with top quality insidekatiesfishing.
Tents and caravans are also welcome with eight power hook ups available for caravans and four pitches for tents overlooking the Match and Pleasure Lakes. A burger van has also recently been added on site. Rated as one of the top ten fisheries in the UK Llyn-y-Gors has opened a huge 1800 square foot tackle shop in 2008, and is also home to the Fishing Warehouse www.fishingwarehouse.co.uk which provides some of the most competitive prices for leading brands of tackle found anywhere in the country.
Active management and stocking programmes result in unrivalled sport across all the lakes. The complex record carp stands over 35 lb with a 40-pounder on the cards at any time, the Match Lake having produced hauls to 204 lb.

The Lakes

From novice to seasoned specimen hunter there is a huge array of sport on offer at Llyn-y-Gors.
ccIn keeping with the family atmosphere there’s a dedicated Beginner’s Lake where youngsters find the perfect introduction to the sport. There are so many fish a maggot barely hits the water before it is eaten. No more getting bored after an hour with no bites!
The Match Lake is a 30 peg venue that has been described as one of the fairest match venues of all. At 2.5 acres there are 11,000 fish including carp, tench, bream, orfe, roach, perch, chub and barbel.
Llyn-y-Gors was one of the first venues in the UK to stock ghost carp and these hard fighting pretty fish make up huge weights on the Pleasure Lake. All methods work, from whip to waggler and feeder, with ghosties, roach, rudd, tench, orfe, barbel, chub and bream featuring in bags to over 200 lb.
DavidFor big fish action head for the mature, tree lined Old Carp Lake with numerous bays, islands and extensive lilies that hold 400 carp from 8 to 34 lb and catfish and pike to 27 lb-plus.
Thompson’s Pool – named after former venue owner Roger Thompson – offers a more intimate challenge with just 35 carp in XX acres, most between 20 and 35 lb and two catfish of 28 and 33 lb.
The most recent addition to the Llyn-y-Gors portfolio has been The Karpium – a deep venue opened March 2008 and stocked with over 300 carp. For big carp anglers searching for 20 lb-plus fish The Karpium offers a one in three chance of hooking a fish over the magic weight.

RULES AT LLYN Y GORS
WHERE FISHING DREAMS COME TRUE

At Llyn y gors we try to keep rules and regulations to a minimum - we all have enough of those in our lives as it is. The following rules have been drawn up with two aims in mind - to provide excellent fishing for anglers, and to protect the fish in our lakes. Please take note of them.
